Description:

The 2100-M is used extensively in industrial plants, with proven reliability and accuracy. It comes complete and ready to operate in a compact DIN rail mount enclosure.

The 2100-M (previously the EXPO-3) can multiplex up to 16 analogue inputs, into one input of a PLC or a Data Logging System. It uses solid state switches, making it extremely reliable and durable.

The 2100-M is widely used to expand up inputs on the 2400-A16 and 2100-A16, plus give economic easy accurate analogue input expansion on a PLC.

The PLC only requires two digital outputs and one analogue input to select and receive data from the 2100-M. For each additional 2100-M added to the system, only one more analogue input is required. (The typical fan-out for most PLC’s is up to eight 2100-M’s)

The 2100-M-I and the 2100-M-R are on board input span programmable. The output can be configured to a selection of industry standard output signals.

Ordering Information:

2100-M ordering table
Note 1) Minimum Range = Signal High – Signal Low.
Note 2) Maximum Range = Signal High – Signal Low.
Note 3) Sensor Break only applies to the RTD (-R) input model.
Note 4) Power supply ‘H’ is field selectable for ‘M’; and ‘M’ for ‘H’. Power supply ‘L’ must be ordered separately.

Notes on 2100-M-R (Input Range IR):
From the table above, you can chose a span (or Input Range IR) between -200 and +600°C. These are the limits – a span can not be chosen outside these limits.

However, to chose an actual span of -200 to 600°C is too wide to achieve good definition. I.e. If you want to see steps of 1°C or better, you will not achieve this with an actual span of -200 to 600°C. The minimum possible span is 20°C. The maximum possible span is 600°C. You need to chose a span that covers your working temperature range.
Examples of commonly used ranges include: 0~100°C, -50~50°C and 0~200°C.

Ordering code example for 2100-M with Pt100 RTD input (Input Model M = R), Input Range IR (or span) of 0~200°C, Output AO = 4~20mA, Channel Selection CS = Clock/Reset, Sensor Break SB = Upscale, Power Supply PS = 85~264Vac/dc:
